We wanted suspenseful, dramatic music that fitted the scenes without being too over the top and taking away the main focus of the narrative. Music is a key element in films as it helps bring different atmospheres into the scene without having to show much in the story. If used properly, music can determine a certain mood and can act as a theme for a reoccurring event such as the music in the movie Jaws that symbolises when the Great White Shark will appear. Another film that has reoccurring music is the film Changeling which makes the audience have a certain emotion whenever the music plays, making the audience far more involved than films with no music.
